Ethidium bromide
Ethidium bromide stock solution 10 mg/mL in aqueous solution, Biotechnology Grade
Supplier: VWR
Ethidium Bromide solution is a fluorescent stain for visualizing nucleic acids in solution or in electrophoresis gels. At a concentration of 0.5 µg/ml, ethidium bromide is useful in agarose or acrylamide ges for band detection. It is used to detect as little as 10 ng of nucleic acid. At high concentrations (0.5 - 1.0 µg/ml), it may be used to facilitate purification of DNA in cesium chloride gradient.

Ethidium bromide in aqueous solution, Biotechnology Grade
Supplier: VWR
Ethidium Bromide solution is a fluorescent stain for visualizing nucleic acids in solution or in electrophoresis gels. The solution is provided at a concentration of 0.625mg/mL. A final working concentration of 0.5g/mL is easily obtained by adding 1 drop of solution to 50 mL of molten agarose, running buffer or staining buffer. Ethidium Bromide solution in dropper bottles may be stored at room temperature for up to 1 year.

Ethidium bromide solution 1 M
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
A 10mg/mL easy-to-use solution of ethidium bromide in specially filtered, deionized water which is excellent for nucleic acid electrophoresis and purification applications, eliminates the dust hazard associated with powdered ethidium bromide and saves time spent on weighing and mixing. Used in the fluorometric detection of double stranded nucleic acids in gel electrophoresis. Also acts as an RNA polymerase inhibitor, and in separation of high molecular weight DNA's. It confers a deep red stain to DNA by acting as an intercalating agent between the starch bases. Subsequent fluorescence techniques enable the extraction and characterization of DNA bands.

Supplier: Chem-Impex International
Ethidium bromide is a powerful intercalating agent widely utilized in molecular biology and biochemistry for its ability to bind to nucleic acids. This compound is particularly renowned for its application in gel electrophoresis, where it serves as a fluorescent stain for DNA and RNA visualization. When exposed to ultraviolet light, ethidium bromide emits a bright orange fluorescence, making it an essential tool for researchers analyzing genetic material. Its effectiveness in detecting nucleic acids has made it a staple in laboratories for applications such as cloning, sequencing, and PCR analysis.
