Agarose low electroendosmosis (EEO)
Supplier: Aladdin Scientific
Agar belongs to the galactan polysaccharides, which make up the intracellular matrix in red seaweeds/marine algae belonging to class Rhodophyta. Agar is naturally slightly sulfated, and is a complex mixture of polysaccharides. Agarose is a neutral polymer component of agar. Heating of agarose gives rise to solution form which on cooling sets into gel form. Gel formation occurs due to double helical formation from molecular chains, which forms a water-immobilizing network.

Agarose, Ultra Sieve for electrophoresis
Supplier: IBI Scientific
Ultra Sieve Agarose is designed for high resolution electrophoresis where resolution of polyacrylamide gels are needed. Ultra Sieve Agarose improves clarity of gels and enhances visualization, even at high concentrations. Ultra Sieve Agarose has low viscosity, therefore high concentration gels can be made with high resolving capacity. The high gel strength, low concentration of 1.0-1.5% can also be made. Using TAE buffer, make a 1.8% gel for 400-1200bp, 3.0% gel for 150-800bp, and 4.5% gel for 15-400bp. To achieve the best resolution, store ultra sieve gels at +4-8°C for 30 minutes prior to use.

Agarose IV, powder, Highest Gel Strength for biotechnology
Supplier: G-Biosciences
G-Biosciences offers several different biotechnology-grade agarose powders. Agarose IV is a linear polymer with a very high molecular weight, giving gel structures unlike those of traditional agaroses. This characteristic produces a strong intercatenary interaction, yeilding a gel with very high gel strength and higher exclusion limit.

Agarose II, powder, low melting for biotechnology
Supplier: G-Biosciences
G-Biosciences offers several different biotechnology-grade agarose powders. Agarose II has a low melting and gelling temperature compared to standard agaroses. The low melting temperature allows for the recovery of undamaged nucleic acids below the denaturation temperature. The low gelling temperature ensures that the agarose will be in a liquid state at a temperature range where in-gel manipulations can be performed without prior extraction from the agarose slice.
