SLC35D2 Antibody: The solute carrier family SLC35 consists of at least 17 proteins that act as nucleotide sugar transporters localized to the Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum. The role of the ER-resident SLC family member SLC35D2 is to transport both UDP-glucuronic acid and UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine. Its overexpression in transfected cells modulated cell surface heparin sulfate expression, suggesting that SLC35D2 is involved in heparin sulfate synthesis. SLC35D2-overexpressing cells also showed increased constitutive and hypotonic stress-stimulated release of UDP-GlcNAc, suggesting that SLC35D2 may be involved in UDP-sugar release and cell signaling.

Exogenous interferon (IFN)-alpha down-regulated CD300a/c expression. CD300a and CD300c play an important role in the cross-regulation of TNF-alpha and IFN-alpha secretion from pDCs. Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) is a 47 kDa secreted glycoprotein that belongs to the non-inhibitory serpin family group. PEDF is widely expressed in adult and foetal tissues, including brain, spinal cord, plasma, bone, prostate, pancreas, heart and lung. PEDF acts as an angiogenesis inhibitor with neurotrophic, immunomodulation and antitumor properties. It functions as anti-angiogenic agent by counterbalancing the proangiogenic effect of VEGF. PEDF is one of the most abundant proteins released by adipocytes and induces insulin resistance in adipocytes and human skeletal muscle cells. Recently, it has been reported that PEDF is sufficient to maintain the self-renewal of pluripotent human embryonic stem cells.

WDR35 Antibody: WD40 repeats are a common structural module in eukaryotic proteins, and proteins containing WD40 domains have a wide range of functions, including signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, RNA splicing, and transcription. The Galectin family of proteins (with specificity for Nacetyllactosamine containing glycoproteins) consists of beta-galactoside binding lectins containing homologous carbohydrate recognition domains (CRDs). At least 14 mammalian galectins family members that share structural similarities in their carbohydrate recognition domains (CRD) have been identified to date. Unlike the selectin family of proteins, the carbohydrate binding specificity of galectins is calcium-independent. A common function of galectins is to cross-link structures containing N-acetyl-lactosamine located at the cell surface and within the extracellular matrix. They also possess hemagglutination activity, which is attributable to their bivalent carbohydrate binding properties. Galectins are active both intracellularly and extracellularly. They have diverse effects on many cellular functions including adhesion, migration, polarity, chemotaxis, proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. Galectins may therefore play a key role in many pathological states, including autoimmune diseases, allergic reactions, inflammation, tumor cell metastasis, atherosclerosis, and diabetic complications.
