Silicone fluids and hydrocarbon oils for viscometers.
- Accurate to ±1% of viscosity value
- NIST traceable certification
Silicone fluid standards are most commonly used for calibration of rotational viscometers. Excellent temperature stability.
Hydrocarbon oils (Mineral oils or polybutene) are appropriate for use at shear rates of greater than 500 sec-¹. Recommended for use with cone/plate viscometers at viscosities above 5000 cP.
Viscosity = nominal viscosity at 25 °C unless stated otherwise.
