The Direct-Q® 5 water treatment system was developed for scientists who have a daily requirement of 5 to 15 litres of ultrapure water and for whom no pre-treated water of sufficient quality is available. The system combines highest efficiency with low investment and operating costs. It is ideal for preparing buffers for LC analysis, blanks and standard solutions for HPLC as well as a wide range of other analyses and biochemical experiments. In the purifying process, drinking water flows through a pre-treatment pack, a reverse osmosis module, activated carbon, mixed-bed ion exchange resins and a 0,22 µm membrane filter for the final filtration.
