Supplement Kit for MVEC Growth Medium, FCS

The supplement kit for microvascular endothelial cell growth medium is suitable for culturing Provitro human microvascular endothelial cells after adding the supplement kit components to 500 ml basal medium. The formulation is optimised for initial seeding of 4000 cells/cm² up to confluence (approx. 90%). Feeder-layer, matrix substrates or other substances are not necessary. Due to the possibility of reduced proliferative activity we recommend to use the antibiotic supplement for freshly isolated cells only.

It can activate monocytes, indicating potential immunoregulatory roles. IL-3's activities often rely on co-stimulation with other cytokines. Notably, IL-3 is species-specific and exhibits variable glycosylation.

Storage: Samples remain stable for a duration of twelve months from the receipt date when stored within the temperature range of −20 to −80 °C. To ensure optimal storage conditions, maintain a sterile environment at these temperatures. For improved preservation, it is advisable to aliquot the protein. Avoid subjecting the samples to repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent degradation and maintain the integrity of the material.

Caution: Store the supplements at −20 °C. Do not use the supplements after expiry date. Avoid any thaw/freeze cycle.
