About this item
Nanopore sequencing flow cells for use with MinION™ and GridION™ devices.
Flow cells contain the proprietary sensor array, Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), and nanopores for DNA/RNA sequencing on MinION™ and GridION™ devices.
R10.4.1 flow cells contain a double reader-head and are suitable for experiments where high consensus accuracy is required. Compatible with Kit 14 chemistry, R10.4.1 flow cells generate data at a modal accuracy above 99%. R9.4.1 flow cells are compatible with the previous generation of nanopore sequencing chemistries. These flow cells and associated sequencing kits are anticipated to be discontinued in 2024.
RNA flow cells are designed to sequence native RNA with improved consensus accuracy and output. These flow cells are compatible with the latest generation of Direct RNA Sequencing Kit (SQK-RNA004).
Flow cells are available in single and multi-packs (8 pack, 48 pack, 96 pack) to suit sample throughput requirements. Flow cells in 48 and 96 packs can be split across multiple shipments of 8 flow cells. Please contact us to discuss specific requirements.
How flow cells work:
A user simply adds their prepared sequencing library to the flow cell and starts their sequencing experiment. Data is accumulated over time as DNA or RNA is sequenced by the nanopores. Individual read files are generated and are immediately available for analysis. As data is streamed in real time, a user can choose to stop a run as soon as sufficient data is gathered. A flow cell contains sufficient buffer to run for ~72 hours (under optimal conditions) and a user can choose to run continuously or run, stop, wash, and load a new sample until the buffer and nanopores are exhausted. Flow cells can be recycled through Oxford Nanopore Technologies.
