The ceramic outer tube is of particular benefit for the analysis of wear metals in engine oils, where quartz outer tubes often suffer from short lifetime.

  • Analysis of high-matrix solutions – Fusion samples, samples with high-dissolved solids, samples with high-acid content
  • Demountable quart or ceramic outer tubes

Also beneficial for Si determinations, where quartz outer tubes may produce high background signals.

Can cause early devitrification or sample deposition when using quartz.
