Grantee highlights

The Avantor Foundation is proud to support worthy organizations dedicated to advancing science education and bringing healthcare to those in need.

Science education

Science education will inspire the future of science by partnering with organizations who help deliver better programming and/or establish or upgrade labs in underserved schools.

Bringing healthcare to those in need

Across the globe, there are people who do not have access to medical facilities, such as hospitals or clinics, or other traditional healthcare providers. Yet they are in desperate need of quality medical care. The Avantor Foundation funds organizations that bring basic healthcare services and workers to people who are impoverished, do not have easy access to healthcare services or are disaster survivors.

"Thank you for your generous donation to the Bay Area Bioscience Education Community! We are deeply appreciative of your support, and for your belief in the value of our bioscience education programs. We applied all of the funds toward the purchase of science supplies and equipment for use in our portable biotechnology classroom kits. The portable kits are the most fundamental component of our educational programs, as they allow for access to the ‘tools of science’ for underserved schools and underrepresented students"

“The generous donation from [the Avantor Foundation] was used to fund medical supplies for Project HOME's Health Services (PHHS) and at three other locations including the Hub of Hope, Pathways to Housing, and Prevention Point Philadelphia. These supplies were critical to the functional operation of providing quality, trauma-informed medical services to populations that generally do not seek out preventative care."
