Immobilon® Block Noise cancelling reagents are designed especially for Western blotting applications. This family of protein-free, ready-to-use buffers has been optimised to reduce background levels when using chemiluminescence, fluorescent, or phosphotyrosine detection.

• Protein-free, reducing nonspecific binding, especially when using phosphoantibodies or avidin-biotin systems
• Suitable for the dilution of primary and secondary antibodies
• Sufficient for 19 miniblots (each 8×7 cm blot requires at least 26 ml)
• Compatible with streptavidin antibodies
• Storage: 20 to 25 °C

Bløk buffers are ideal for use with Immobilon-P Western blotting membranes and the SNAP i.d. system, and are also compatible with standard Western blotting techniques. Minimise background in western blots, increasing sensitivity for superior detection of even low-abundance proteins. Compatible with PVDF (Immobilon™ P, Immobilon FL) and nitrocellulose.

For optimum results, use Immobilon-P membrane for chemiluminescence (luminol) or visual detection (e.g. TMB), and Immobilon-FL membrane for fluorescent detection applications.
