About this item

A competitive ELISA kit for quantify Norepinephrine biological fluids.

  • Easy, convenient and time-saving method to measure the level of Norepinephrine in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, culture supernatants and other biological fluids
  • Detection Range: 15,625 to 1000 pg/ml
  • Sensitivity: <9,375 pg/ml
  • Assay Precision: Intra-Assay: CV <8%; Inter-Assay: CV <10%
  • This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Norepinephrine. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Norepinephrine and analogues was observed

Norepinephrine (NE) is a precursor of epinephrine that is secreted by the adrenal medulla and is a well-known central and autonomic neurotransmitter. Norepinephrine is the principal transmitter of most postganglionic sympathetic fibers and of the diffuse projection system in the brain arising from the locus ceruleus. Norepinephrine is also found in plants and is used pharmacologically as a sympathomimetic. BioVision’s Norepinephrine ELISA kit is a competitive ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of Norepinephrine in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of colour is proportional to the amount of Norepinephrine captured from the samples.
