Detoxi-Gel™ endotoxin removing columns and gel uses polymixin B ligand immobilised on beaded affinity resin to bind and extract endotoxins from antibody or protein samples.

• Resin uses immobilised polymixin B to remove pyrogens by binding their lipid A domains
• 1 ml of gel binds 4000 to 6000 EU of the lipopolysaccharide from E. coli strain 055:BS
• 1 ml of gel removes >9995 EU from a 10000 EU challenge of LPS (greater than 99% efficiency)
• Reduces endotoxin levels in protein solutions, cell culture media, solutions containing pharmacological components and aqueous buffers
• Stable and reusable resin can be regenerated by stripping off the endotoxins with a 1% deoxycholate solution in pyrogen-poor water
