Disposable and reusable options of varying thickness and diameter are available and may be purchased in kits, packs, cases, or individually.
Silane-Prep Slides

Silane-prep slides are microscope slides coated with silane (aminoalkysilane) to improve the adhesion of tissues to the slide for immunohistochemistry. The slide includes a 'frosted end' for slide/patient identification. It is not tested for use in microarray assays.

Poly prep slides

Poly-prep slides are made of glass and designed for cell adhesion. The slides are coated with Poly-L-Lysine, a non-specific attachment factor for cells useful in promoting cell adhesion on solid substrates. Poly-L-lysine enhances binding between the cell membrane and the cultured surface.
