Physics Educational Materials
Avantor offers a complete catalog of instruments and tools useful for demonstrating key, basic concepts of physics that are applicable to everyday life both in and out of the laboratory. Demonstrate core ideas such as acceleration down a plane, friction, potential and kinetic energy, electrical conductivity, magnetic fields, wavelengths and velocity of sound, and more. Durable educational materials are designed for heavy use with consistent levels of handling, and all models are easy to use.
Resonance apparatus
Supplier: CORNELSEN EXPERIMENTA
For acoustic detection of standing sound waves and for determining the wavelength of the sound source and then the speed of sound in air (Velocity=frequency×wavelength). The system is filled with water and a sound source (tuning fork) is held to the open tube end. By varying the height of the reservoir and the height of the liquid in the tube students can determine the wavelength using audible effects associated with standing waves.

Variable G-pendulum
Supplier: PHYWE
This experiment shows how fast a vertical pendulum would swing, if it was placed on a foreign celestial body e.g. the moon or March. Phywe's variable g-pendulum can change the plane of oscillation from the vertical, a=0°, up to the horizontal plane, ie a=90°. When a=0°, g acts at full force. If the plane of oscillation is not parallel to the vertical, only g × cos a acts on the pendulum motion. A movement to the moon shows that gravity amounts to about 16.6% of the earth's, which in our pendulum on the earth, corresponds to an angle α=80.5°. The force of attraction in March amounts to 38% of the earth, which can be simulated in the g-pendulum by setting a= 69°.

Photo gate, infrared
Supplier: 3B Scientific
Infra red photo gate for time measurements in experiments on free fall, motion on a track or pendulum oscillations and for counting pulses. It can be operated in internal mode using the built-in infra-red light source or in external mode with the aid of a laser pointer, which needs to be obtained separately. It then acts as a wide-range light barrier, allowing it to be used at sporting events, for example.

Planck's constant, experimental equipment
Supplier: PHYWE
Equipment for demonstrating photoelectric power and determining Planck's constant. A photocell is equipped with filters that only transmit light of a certain wavelength. The photocell is illuminated with light from a Hg lamp. The potassium cathode then emits electrons that pass over to the unlit anode. Over time, a voltage arises that prevents new electrons from reaching the anode. The resulting voltage is measured with a measuring amplifier and a voltmeter. The measurement is repeated with filters for different wavelengths. Photocell and Hg lamp are equipped with magnets at the bottom for stable installation on the mounting plate. List of equipment.
