Patent Blue VF (Disulphine blue), Sigma-Aldrich®
Supplier: SIGMA ALDRICH MICROSCOPY
Patent Blue VF has been used in combination with 99mTc phytate to detect sentinel lymph node (SLN) in early stage cervical cancer patients. To detect heat shock protein (HSP) gp96 induced draining lymph nodes (LNs) in mice and to detect the effect of Asn-Gly-Arg (NGR)-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) on tumor perfusion in murine model. It is also used a diagnostic assay manufacturing, hematology, histology.

Tetrabromophenol Blue (TBPB) belongs to the group of sulfonephthalein acid-base indicators. It is employed in the potentiometric titration of the halogens with Hg₂(NO₃)₂. In addition, it has been used as a dye indicator in urine dipstick test to detect proteinuria. In this assay, with increasing concentration of urinary protein, TBPB sequentially changes colour from pale green to blue. Binding of TBPB to proteins is dependent on pH.
