Fibroblast growth factor 10 (FGF-10) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family predominantly expressed by mesenchymal fibroblasts during embryonic development (Emoto et al.; Igarashi et al.). Interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β) is synthesised as an inactive precursor protein or pro-IL-1β. Interleukin 15 (IL-15) is a four-alpha helix bundle cytokine with many similar properties to IL-2.
