Anti-PPAPDC3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy3®)

Supplier: Bioss

Plays a role as negative regulator of myoblast differentiation, in part through effects on MTOR signaling. Has no detectable enzymatic activity.PPAPDC3, also known as nuclear envelope transmembrane protein 39 (NET39), was initially discovered in an in silico screen for secreted or membrane proteins. It is a member of the PAP2 superfamily of phosphatases and haloperoxidases. PPAPDC3 has recently been shown to act as a negative regulator of myoblast differentiation by diminishing the activity of the mammalian target of rapamycin TOR. PPAPDC3 is highly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and becomes strongly upregulated during cultured myoblast differentiation tissues. Overexpression of PPAPDC3 in myoblasts repressed myogenesis while knockdown by RNA interference promoted differentiation indicating its part in the regulatory mechanism for myogenesis.

Test strips, lead, MQuant®, Supelco®

Supplier: Merck

MQuant® (MQ) test strips can be considered as a mobile laboratory on a few square millimeters of plastic strip. As a screening method they provide the user with a rapid overview of the situation, which helps in making the choice of what, and perhaps if, further analysis is required, thereby leading to potentially substantial savings in time and analytical resources. The strip is a biologically-degradable polyester foil and the low reagent content, in the reaction zones, assists problem-free waste disposal.

Anti-TACC1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Bioss

TACC1 is one of three TACC family members, which are thought to be involved in breast tumorigenesis. TACC1 is located on 8p11 chromosomal region that is amplified in approximately 15% of all breast tumor samples. The short arm of chromosome 8 also contains FGFR1 whose expression is enhanced in most breast cancer tumors. TACC family members, TACC1, TACC2, and TACC3, map very closely to the corresponding FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 genes on chromosomes 8, 10, and 4. Subsequently, since they are phylogenetically related, it is proposed that TACC and FGFR have similar roles in cell growth and differentiation. Also, TACC1 contains a conserved C-terminal region as in the Drosophila homolog, D-TACC. It has been shown that D-TACC is necessary for normal spindle function, and the mammalian TACC proteins appears to interact with centrosomes and microtubules in a similar manner

Human Recombinant EIF4E-Binding 1 (from E. coli)

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4E-Binding Protein 1 (4EBP1) is a number of the eIF4E-binding protein family. 4EBP1 regulates eIF4E activity by preventing its assembly into the eIF4F complex. 4EBP1 mediates the regulation of protein translation by hormones, growth factors and other stimuli that signal through the MAP kinase and mTORC1 pathways. Non-phosphorylated 4EBP1 competes with EIF4G1/EIF4G3 to interact with EIF4E. 4EBP1 is phosphorylated in response to various signals including insulin signaling, resulting in its dissociation from eIF4E and activation of mRNA translation. 4EBP1 has a role in progression of breast neoplasms through cell signaling.

Anti-TRDMT1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy5®)

Supplier: Bioss

Methylation at the 5'-position of cytosine is the only known naturally occurring covalent modification of the mammalian genome. DNA methylation requires the enzymatic activity of DNA 5-cytosine methyltransferase (Dnmt) proteins, which catalyze the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl methionine to the 5'-position of cytosines residing in the dinucleotide CpG motif, and this methylation results in transcriptional repression of the target gene. The Dnmt enzymes are encoded by independent genes. Dnmt1 is the most abundant, and it preferentially methylates hemimethylated DNA and coordinates gene expression during development. Additional mammalian Dnmt proteins include Dnmt2 and Dnmt3. Dnmt2 lacks the large N-terminal regulator domain of Dnmt1, is expressed at substantially lower levels in adult tissues, and is likely involved in methylating newly integrated retroviral DNA. Dnmt3a and Dnmt3b are encoded by two distinct genes, but both are abundantly expressed in embryonic stem cells, where they also methylate CpG motifs on DNA.
