This transport system uses vacuum insulation technology and is ideal for lengthy refrigerated transport of specimens, cells, and other sensitive items. The box is provided with a shoulder strap to make carrying easier. Use of the MiniVaqBox transport system with Delta T elements will ensure proper temperature maintenance without the application of any external energy for a period of 48 hours. First, the elements must be pre-cooled for a certain period of time until the fluid is solid. This will occur when the temperature is approximately 5 °C below the fluid’s melting point. The pre-cooling time depends on the number of fluid elements present.
