Cannulae are thin tubes that permit a safe liquid or gas transfer between sites. The sterile devices are common in the medical field to drain fluids, extend the length of inserted surgical instruments, support patient breathing, or administer medicine. Flexible laboratory styles transfer air-sensitive solutions and gases between reaction vessels without contacting the surrounding environment.
