Fibronectin is a soluble dimeric glycoprotein of 440 kDa, which is present in cells, extracellular matrix, and blood. There are two types of fibronectin: soluble fibronectin which is produced by hepatocytes and found in blood plasma, and insoluble cellular fibronectin which is produced by fibroblasts in a soluble form and latter assembled into an insoluble form via fibril formation.
This antibody reacts with the cellular as well as plasma form of fibronectin. Reportedly, after iv administration, this antibody localizes to tumor vessels where it binds to the underlying basement. The Fibronectin epitope recognized by this antibody is not accessible in normal tissues to the circulating antibody indicating that it can be used to specifically target tumor vessels in vivo. Clone TV-1 fibronectin antibody is reportedly useful for delivering vasoactive agents to tumors to induce increased vascular permeability or blood flow prior to treatment with chemotherapeutic drugs or antibodies.

Anti-CD5 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: CLDA5-1]

This antibody recognises a 67 kDa transmembrane protein, which is identified as CD5. The CD5 antigen is found on 95% of thymocytes and 72% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. In lymph nodes, the main reactivity is observed in T cell areas. antibody to CD5 is a pan T-cell marker that also reacts with a range of neoplastic B-cells, e.g. chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL), mantle cell lymphoma, and a subset (~10%) of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. CD5 aberrant expression is useful in making a diagnosis of mature T-cell neoplasms. CD5 antibody detection is diagnostic in CLL/SLL within a panel of other B-cell markers, especially one that includes anti-CD23. CD5 antibody is also very useful in differentiating among mature small lymphoid cell malignancies. In addition, antibody to CD5 can be used in distinguishing thymic carcinoma (+) from thymoma (-). CD5 antibody does not react with granulocytes or monocytes.

The regions of relatively constant sequence beyond the variable regions of immunoglobulins are termed constant regions (C regions) and are present in both the heavy and light chains. With very few exceptions, the sites of attachment for carbohydrates on immunoglobulins are located in these C regions. These regions also function to hold the variable regions together by using the disulfide bond between them. The C regions facilitate interaction with the antigen by increasing the maximum rotation of the immunoglobulin arms. Reportedly, a large population of patients with recurrent respiratory tract infection has low IgG4 concentrations. IgG4 is overexpressed in inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT) and under expressed in inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT). In pulmonary nodular lymphoid hyperplasia (PNLH), there are an increased number of IgG4+ plasma cells.

Conversely, in ERalpha− breast cancer FOXA1 is highly correlated with low-grade morphology and improved disease free survival. FOXA1 is a downstream target of GATA3 in the mammary gland.
