Munc-18 ( mammalian homologue of Unc-18) is a protein that is thought to be involved in regulating exocytosis due, at least in part, to it ability to bind syntaxin (Ciufo et al., 2005). Munc18-1 is a neuron-specific member of the Sec1/Munc18 protein family that binds to syntaxin1A and is thought to stabilize the complex (Liu et al., 2004). The function of Munc-18 is thought to be regulated by PKC phosphorylation of Ser515 on the Munc-18 protein (Sassa et al., 1996).

Anti-PLK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-PLK1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Polo-like kinases are important regulators of cell cycle progression. PLK1 is a highly conserved Ser/Thr kinase that has essential roles in the formation of mitotic bipolar spindles (van Vugt et al., 2004). Deregulated expression of PLK’s is detected in many types of cancer and associated with oncogenesis (Takei et al., 2005). It has been proposed that PLK1 function is altered at different stages of mitosis through consecutive phosphorylation events at Ser137 and Thr210 (van de Weerdt et al., 2005).

Anti-CALR Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: 1G6A7] (Allophycocyanin)

Supplier: Novus Biologicals

Calreticulin, also called CALR, is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) protein that functions as a calcium (Ca2+) buffering molecular chaperone. Together with calnexin and ERp57, calreticulin has a critical role in protein folding and quality control of newly synthesized glycoproteins. Calreticulin has many diverse functions beyond Ca2+ binding, including cell adhesion, lectin binding, apoptosis, nuclear transport, antigen presentation, and immune response. Specifically, calreticulin is part of the peptide-loading complex that resides on the ER membrane and is responsible for antigen loading onto MHC class I molecules.

Anti-CCL21 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-CCL21 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

This gene is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. Similar to other chemokines the protein encoded by this gene inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. This protein is chemotactic in vitro for thymocytes and activated T cells, but not for B cells, macrophages, or neutrophils. The cytokine encoded by this gene may also play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to secondary lymphoid organs. It is a high affinity functional ligand for chemokine receptor 7 (CCR7) that is expressed on T and B lymphocytes and a known receptor for another member of the cytokine family (small inducible cytokine A19). [provided by RefSeq].

Anti-GABBR2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-GABBR2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. There are two major classes of GABA receptors: the GABAA and the GABAB subtype of receptors. GABAB receptors are heterodimeric G protein-coupled receptors that mediate slow synaptic inhibition in the central nervous system. It has recently been demonstrated that AMPK binds directly to GABAB receptors and phosphorylates S783 in the cytoplasmic tail of the R2 subunit and that S783 plays a critical role in enhancing neuronal survival after ischemia as phosphorylation of S783 is evident in many brain regions and is increased dramatically after ischemic injury to the brain (Kuramoto et al., 2007).

Anti-TP53 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-TP53 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

p53 has a well established role in the blocking the proliferative action of damaged cells and acting in essence as an anticancer agent. It has been called the guardian of the genome. Phosphorylation of Ser392 in p53 is associated with formation of human tumors. In addition p53 has also been linked to affects of aging and oxidative stress. An increase in p53 has also been linked to deficits in LTP and learning and memory. We raised this polyclonal antibody against a peptide representing the sequence around Ser392 of p53.

Anti-SLC6A13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-SLC6A13 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, causing a hyperpolarization of the membrane through the opening of a Cl− channel associated with the GABAA receptor (GABAA-R) subtype. GABA plasma membrane transporters (GATs) influence synaptic neurotransmission by high-affinity uptake and release of GABA. To date, four distinct GABA transporters have been identified: GAT-1, GAT-2, GAT-3, and BGT-1. GAT-2 is found in a wide range of neuronal and non-neuronal cells including dendrites and axon terminals as well as epithelial cells and cells forming the pia and arachnoid complex (Conti et al., 1999).

Anti-DR4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-DR4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

DR4 Antibody: Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand in the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas. A novel death domain containing receptor was recently identified and designated DR4 (for death receptor 4). The ligand for this novel death receptor has been identified and termed TRAIL2, 3, which is a new member in the TNF family. DR4 is also called TRAIL receptor-1 (TRAIL-R1). DR4 is expressed in most of human tissues including spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes, small intestine and thymus. Like TNFR1, Fas and DR3, DR4 mediates apoptosis and NF-kappa B activation in many tissues and cells.

Anti-RAF1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-RAF1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

The Ras pathway is a critical signal transduction cascade involved in regulating cellular proliferation, differentiation, survival, and oncogenic transformation. Members of the Raf serine/threonine kinase family are key intermediates in this cascade, functioning to relay signals from activated Ras to the downstream protein kinases MEK and ERK (Marshall, 1996). Previous studies have shown that phosphorylation is required for Raf-1 activation (Dhillon and Kolch, 2002; Chong et al., 2003). Recent work has demonstrated that phosphorylation also regulates the downregulation of Raf (Dougherty et al., 2005) with two sites participating: Ser301 and Ser642.

Thyroid hormones are essential for development of the central nervous system and deficits in these hormones during development affects such cognitive functions as learning and memory (Ambrogini et al., 2005; Chan and Kilby, 2000). Thyroid hormones exert their physiological role mainly through binding to specific nuclear receptors including the predominant isoforms of thyroid hormone receptors, TRalpha1, TRalpha2, TRbeta1 and TRbeta2. TRalpha1, TRbeta1 and TRbeta2 bind T3 with high affinity and also bind to thyroid hormone response elements (TREs) on chromatin to regulate the transcriptional processes in several target tissues, including adult rat brain (Constantinou et al., 2005).

Anti-RIPK3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-RIPK3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

RIP3 Antibody: Certain serine/threonine protein kinases, such as ASK1, RIP, DAP, and ZIP kinases, are mediators of apoptosis. Receptor interacting proteins including RIP and RIP2/RICK mediate apoptosis induced by TNFR1 and Fas, two prototype members in the death receptor family. A novel member in the RIP kinase family was recently identified and designated RIP3. RIP3 contains N-terminal kinase domain but, unlike RIP or RIP2, lacks the C-terminal death or CARD domain. RIP3 binds to RIP and TNFR1, mediates TNFR1 induced apoptosis, and attenuates RIP and TNFR1 induced NF-kappa B activation. Overexpression of RIP3 induces apoptosis and NF-kappa B activation. The messenger RNA of RIP3 is expressed in a subset of adult tissues.

Anti-SYN1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-SYN1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Synapsin I plays a key role in synaptic plasticity in brain (Feng et al., 2002; Nayak et al., 1996). This effect is due in large part to the ability of the synapsins to regulate the availability of synaptic vesicles for release. The role of synapsin in synaptic plasticity and in synaptogensis is regulated by phosphorylation (Jovanovic et al., 2001; Kao et al., 2002). Ser 549 along with Ser 62 and Ser 67 are the sites of synapsin I that are phosphorylated by MAP kinase (Jovanovic et al., 1996). Phosphorylation and subsequent dephosphorylation of this site is thought to play a key role in synaptic vesicle trafficking.

Gap junctional intercellular communication is thought to play a key role in development and may also be involved in epilepsy (Aronica et al., 2001). Connexin 43 forms gap-junctional channels and regulates the permeability of these gap junctions to small organic molecules. Permeability of connexin 43 is known to be regulated by phosphorylation at Ser368 by protein kinase C (Yogo et al., 2002; Bao et al., 2004a). Phosphorylation of Ser368 by PKC induces a conformational change of connexin 43 that results in a decrease in gap junction permeability (Bao et al., 2004b).

Anti-PUMA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-PUMA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

PUMA Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes. A novel p53 inducible pro-apoptotic gene was identified recently and designated PUMA (for p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis) and bbc3 (for Bcl-2 binding component 3) in human and mouse. PUMA/bbc3 is one of the pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members including Bax and Noxa, which are also transcriptional targets of p53. The PUMA gene encodes two BH3 domain-containing proteins termed PUMA-alpha and PUMA-beta. PUMA proteins bind Bcl-2, localize to the mitochondria, and induce cytochrome c release and apoptosis in response to p53. PUMA may be a direct mediator of p53-induced apoptosis.

Anti-IKK epsilon Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-IKK epsilon Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

IKK epsilon Antibody: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kappa B mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli. NF-kappa B is associated with I kappa B proteins in the cell cytoplasm, which inhibit NF-kappa B activity. I kappa B is phosphorylated by I kappa B kinase (IKK) complex that contains IKK alpha , IKK beta , and IKK gamma. A novel molecule in the IKK complex was recently identified and designated IKK epsilon /IKK-i. IKK epsilon is required for the activation of NF-kappa B by PMA and T cell receptors but not by TNF alpha and IL-1. IKK epsilon /IKK-i message is expressed in a variety of tissues and is inducible by TNF alpha , IL-1, and LPS.
