Ensure optimal security for critical samples by using Thermo Scientific™ CO₂ and LN2 Backup Systems for Ultra-Low Temperature Freezers, for use with Thermo Scientific™ TSX, Forma™, HERAfreeze™, Revco™ and TS-Series freezers.

LN₂ backup system maintains temperature down to –80 °C with liquid nitrogen, CO₂ backup system maintains temperature down to –67 °C with CO₂

LN₂ backup system: With LN₂ emergency cooling, a mobile tank is sufficient if it is ensured that the fill level is regularly replenished. The supply pressure must be less than ~2,5 bar, this is usually given directly in the case of mobile tanks, and an upstream LN₂ pressure reducer is required for central ring lines which are operated in the order of 4 bar.

CO₂ backup system: Bottles/cylinder batteries or large-capacity tanks are possible for the CO₂ supply, but it must be ensured that the CO₂ is removed from the liquid phase (riser tube bottles).
