About this item

A sandwich ELISA kit for in vitro quantitative determination of mouse troponin I concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

  • Detection Range: 31,25 to 2000 pg/ml
  • Coefficient of variation is <10%
  • Sensitivity: 18,75 pg/ml
  • Specificity: no significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse Tn-I and analogues was observed

Troponin I is the inhibitory subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity. Troponin I ELISA kit uses the sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in the kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to mouse troponin I. Standards or samples were added to the micro ELISA plate that reacts with biotinylated detection antibody specific for mouse troponin I and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate which on the addition of substrate form blue color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of human troponin I. The concentration of mouse troponin I in the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
