About this item
Derivatization Kit for the sensitive LC-MS/MS analysis of dienes such as Vitamin D and Vitamin D metabolites.
- The intended purpose of this kit is to enhance sensitivity of 1,3 conjugated dienes (e.g. vitamin D metabolites) in mass spectrometry applications using an optimised derivatizion reagent
- This kit includes a derivatization reagent specific for 1,3 dienes, a Vitamin D₃ control standard, and instructions for use
- This kit has been shown to enhance detection limits of Vitamin D₃ by an order of magnitude relative to direct analysis and up to 5-fold over competitor products
- Improved detection leads to increased precision and accuracy in quantitative mass spectrometry applications
This Dienes Derivatization MaxSpec® Kit is designed for the sensitive, accurate detection and quantitation of diene-containing compounds such as Vitamin D or Vitamin D metabolites. This is achieved through chemical derivatization utilizing a Derivatization Reagent based upon click chemistry. Included in this kit is a simple, rapid, and efficient protocol to extract and derivatize diene compounds from biological matrices. The resulting mixture reduces ion suppression and increases sensitivity with detection limits of 10 to 100 pM in most sample matrices. This extraction protocol is based upon protein precipitation and solid phase extraction (SPE) using the Dienes Derivatization MaxSpec® Kit and Waters HLB cartridges. After drying under vacuum, the extracted and concentrated diene compounds are directly dissolved in Derivatization Solution. The final mixture can be directly injected into an LC-MS/MS.
