HDAC inhibitor
A potent, cell-permeable histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor. Inhibits HDACs in maize, Physarum and chicken. IC50=30 nM for E. tenella HDAC. Displays antiprotozoal and antineoplastic activity. Induces expression of the γ-globin gene in erythroid cells. Shows antimitogenic activities. Induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in tumor cells.
