These instruments use high quality interference filters with long life LEDs as a light source, without any moving parts in a transparent sample chamber. The units supply accurate, reproducible results very quickly. Calibration and software-based adjustment options mean that these instruments are also suitable for testing. Tests are conducted using either tablet reagents with long-term stability and a guaranteed minimum 5 or 10 year shelf life, or powder reagents.

The Quality Test Certificate states the reference value of each method in comparison to the instruments reading. Besides having an official statement of the instruments quality, this document ensures the user that the MCT photometer is working within a given tolerance range.

The instrument has a factory calibration, which is related to international standards, which are not NIST traceable. This instrument may be calibrated by the user in a 'user calibration mode' with NIST traceable standards.

: The optionally available IRiM (infrared interface module) uses modern infrared technology to transmit measurement data from the MD 100 photometer to one of three optional interfaces. These interfaces can be used to connect to a PC, a USB printer, or alternatively, a serial printer.
The unit is supplied complete with data logging software, providing easy and rapid transfer of data to a PC. Data can be optionally saved as a Excel sheet or .txt file.

: The instrument is supplied in a carrying case and comes with: 4 micro batteries (AAA), 3 round vials (glass) with lid (MCT 100 and MCP 100) and 2 round vials (plastic) with lid (only MCP 100), 1 stirring rod (only MCT 100) and 1 brush, warranty information, quality test certificate and instruction manual.
