About this item

Universal methylated DNA standard (human) with the included primers can be used in conjunction with Enzo blood and tissue methylation kit or the express methylation kits.

  • Convenient for use with range of Methylation Kits
  • Enzymatically modified standard includes short, easy to follow protocol
  • Primers included

The DNA included in this set is enzymatically methylated at all cytosine positions to help assess the efficiency of the bisulfite-mediated conversion of DNA. DNA is isolated from a male human source. The primer set is designed to amplify a fragment of the human mismatch MLH1 mismatch repair gene following bisulfite treatment. The methylated cytosines comprising CG dinucleotides remain unconverted following bisulfite treatment, whereas non-methylated cytosines are converted into uracil and detected as thymine after PCR.

Delivery: Kit contains control primers: hMLH1 (F) and hMLH1 (R), 20 µl of each; and Universal methylated DNA standard (human), 100 µg.
