This range of portable autoclaves are designed for safety and reliability, yet remain easy to use and maintain. They are fitted with an automatic cut-out to prevent them boiling dry. The lid is removable for full width access, items can either be placed in the inner liner provided or in accessory dressing drums or basket. All models are heated with a 2 kW single internal element. Temperature is controlled by the VARIO time and temperature controller and a Pt 100 thermocouple. The VARIO cycle control features four preset cycles and one variable cycle. The variable cycle is stored in permanent memory so it can be recalled. The control panel shows countdown sterilisation time and current temperature. The end of the sterilisation cycle is signalled by an audible alarm. After the sterilising period, a condensing vacuum is drawn to aid drying. This is particularly useful for dressings and drapes.
