The 410XAL and 610XAL are specifically designed temperature controlled cabinets with fan assisted air circulation via a pre-mixing chamber. They incorporate dual temperature cycling, interior shelf lights and adjustable alarm settings. The 410 models have a white enamelled sheet steel exterior and a white pre-coated aluminium interior, the 610 models have a stainless steel exterior with a white pre-coated interior, polyurethane foam insulation, and feature a door lock and magnetic door gasket. 15W fluorescent tubes mounted in pairs above the adjustable shelves complete with 24 hour timer with 10 minute settings. Castors are fitted on the 410 models. Safety features include adjustable temperature safety cut-out with two independent high/low set points, giving both audible and visual alarms, indicator lamp for high temperature and a preset over heat protection. Controls are recessed in the control panel, to avoid accidental alteration. The automatic dual temperature cycling has 24 hour timer with 10 minute settings, and temperature is controlled via two microprocessor temperature controllers. Full PID heating and cooling control. Heating/cooling time 1 °C every 2/3 minutes, subject to load and ambient temperature. Units are ideal for growth studies of plants and insect culture, BOD tests, seed germination, long-term stability studies and controlled time scale studies.
