Contaminated, corrosive, or radioactive samples can generate aerosols that can cross-contaminate or damage the pipette. The disposable piston within the capillary piston (CP) tip is in direct contact with the liquid, preventing contamination and protecting the sample, the user, and the pipette. The unique QuickSnap system secures the disposable CP in one easy motion, fitting a CP as simply and reproducibly as a standard pipette. Easily eject the CP by pressing the push button and avoiding any contact with the disposable CP. The volume-control switch allows for easy volume adjustment and minimizes the risk of accidentally changing the volume during pipetting tasks.

 : Gilson's standards are even more stringent than those required by governing bodies. The Gilson pipettor manufacturing plant has its own accredited calibration laboratory to control the accuracy and precision of each and every pipettor manufactured. Gilson pipettors are individually calibrated and delivered with a certificate of conformity. Each pipettor bears an engraved identification number for traceability.
