The compact laser pointer features an LED flashlight and a key chain. Included (not installed) are three long-life LR41 lithium batteries.

Three life-long LR41 lithium batteries are included. To install the batteries, remove them and the non-conductive spacer from the laser pointer, then replace the batteries.
