CryoStar™ NX70 Cryostats, Thermo Scientific

The Thermo Scientific CryoStar™ NX70 Cryostat provides comfortable ergonomic design and motorized height adjustment from 32" to 44" with a comfortable, form-fitting front panel and arm rests to reduce user fatigue. The Rapid Response Temperature Control cools the specimen holder, blade,and cryobar to maintain precise temperature control through periods of prolonged use. Improved section precision enables the specimen holder and knife to move independently. The units are available with dedicated low- or high-profile blade holders, or a 16cm steel knife carrier.

Environmental Note: The Rapid Response Temperature Control system reduces energy consumption required to maintain temperature. The NX70 uses roughly half the energy of similar models at just 0.3 kw/hr.

CryoStar™ NX70 Cryostat Packages include all of the following standard features; electronic height adjustment, Rapid Response Temperature Control, multi-axis specimen orientation, motorized sectioning, specimen retraction, and form-fitting design. The CryoStar™ NX70 D adds the Cold Disinfection option. The CryoStar™ NX70 V adds the Vacutome option. The Cryostar™ NX70 DV adds both Cold Disinfection and Vacutome to the list of standard features.
