Alginic acid NF
ALGINIC ACID,NF, is also referred to as algin or alginate, occurs naturally in the cell walls of brown algae. As it binds with water it creates a viscous gum-like texture. When dried it is capable of absorbing 200 to 300 times its own weight in water. It is often used in slimming aid products and in the manufacture of paper and textiles, as well as, being added to drinks, ice-creams and cosmetics as a thickening agent. Spectrum Chemical NF products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) per 21CFR part 211 in FDA registered and inspected facilities.
All Spectrum Chemical NF grade products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
