This variable speed Van de Graaff-type generator produces 250,000 to 400,000 volts. It's built to give maintenance-free operation for many years. The sphere is 25 cm in diameter with a polished, smudge-resistant finish. The column between the base and sphere is made of clear Lucite.
The overall height of the unit is 76 cm. The variable speed motor is controlled by a knob and can be used to vary the rate of charge buildup. One extra belt is included with the unit.
Accessories information: Replacement belts, 3.8 x 67.3 cm circumference, are available separately.
