All components of the mopping system may be autoclaved or irradiated.
Mops feature a fan-tail design and looped-end construction to minimize particle generation. Mop 1 is made of nonwoven polyester, and is soft and nonabrasive. Mop 4 is made from continuous filament tubular knitted polyester and is chemical- and abrasion-resistant. Mop 4 has low particulate and fibers, a lot number to assure traceability, and is available sterile. Mop 4 is laundered and packaged in an ISO Class 4 (FED-STD-209E Class 10) cleanroom.
