The Tissue-Tek® Uni-Cassette® standard cassette system is utilized to provide specimen identification and security from the grossing station to the paraffin block. In these systmes smooth, single-action fracture-back hinges are present for greater protection. The LWS (Large Writing Surface) Uni-Cassette® are used when a larger writing front surface is needed.
- Designed for maximum fluid exchange during processing
- Contains a base and attached lid, which is easily removed
- Manufactured from chemical-resistant plastic including solvents and decalcifying solutions
- Raised spacer nubs for better exchange of processing reagents
- Wider finger tabs to reduce strain
Reusable stainless steel base molds, for use with Uni-Cassette® and Uni-Cassette® Biopsy, are 5 mm deep, and feature extended fins to prevent tipping and to provide a gripping surface
Uni-Cassettes can be printed on the Tissue-Tek® SmartWrite® and Tissue-Tek® AutoWrite® Printers. Large writing surface cassettes are not compatible with SmartWrite® Cassette Printer.
Flat metal bottom allows maximum heat/cold exchange.
