The Scienceware® Hand-Held Colony Counter provides a cost-effective and accurate way to count colonies of bacteria or other microorganisms grown on an agar plate.
- Cost-effective option
- Compact and efficient
- Lightweight and ergonomic design
- Backlit display for low-light conditions
- Audible alarm
This hand-held, simple to operate device marks, counts, and gives an audible and visual alert each time a count is registered on the digital display
The colony counter stores up to 35 sample counts in its memory and can display the sum total of all colonies counted. The display has a backlight for easy viewing in low-light conditions. The audible alert can be turned off if desired, and the counting function can be locked to prevent error during breaks between counting. The long-life red and black felt-tip markers (included) work on plastic or glass and are oil and water resistant. Ink marks are removable with ethyl alcohol.
The compact, efficient Colony Counter System with magnifier and counting grid is available complete, or each item may be purchased separately. The complete system includes pen-style colony counter, mini-magnifier, mini light box II, AC line current adapter, and a counting grid.
The lightweight, pen-style design reduces the likelihood of error, combining all aspects of counting into one motion. Error is further reduced by the ability to count both up and down to verify sample counts.
