Flashpoint Testers

The flashpoint testers determine flammable characteristics and provide the lowest temperature that vapors will ignite. Applying gas- or electric-produced gas in simple mechanics, the metal cups are heat resistant for routine testing. Measuring with open cup-styled devices, the flame is brought over the surface of the contained sample. Closed cup flashpoint testers introduce the ignition source through the sealed lid and often can give better approximation to lowest temperature readings.
