Lysogeny broth (LB) is a nutritionally rich medium used for the propagation and maintenance of E. coli. It is also widely used for the preparation of plasmid DNA and recombinant proteins.
- Save time using pre-mixed media
- Homogenous and high quality powders
Formulation of 10 g tryptone, 10 g NaCl, and 5 g yeast extract (25 g powder total) per L of liquid broth.
The instructions included on the label state to prepare LB broth by dissolving 25 g powder per liter in deionized water.
