VWR® Chemicals silicone grease is a valve lubricant and sealant, often times used as a vacuum grease. It has good resistance to most chemicals, a wide service temperature range, low vapor pressure, low volatility and exceptional water resistance.

• Solubility: not soluble in H₂O , soluble in hydrocarbons
• Temperature range: -50 to +200 °C
• Penetration: 240 – 270 mm/10

This paste is especially intended for use in industrial an laboratory lubrication applications. It is used to lubricate taps and valves fitted to equipment working under vacuum. It is also widely used as a high viscosity grease for valves and taps.
