Carboys

カーボーイは、液体（多くは水や化学薬品）を輸送するために使用される硬質容器です。実験室では通常プラスチック製ですが、鉄ガラスや他の耐衝撃性ガラス製のものも一部使用されています。高い耐薬品性と紫外線を遮断する不透明な外装により、カーボーイは溶媒や脱イオン水などの大量の液体を変質させることなく保存できます。ポリプロピレン製のカーボーイはオートクレーブ可能で、簡単に滅菌できます。
