Thermo Scientific Nalgene 489 linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a general purpose tubing suitable for many applications. Made of FDA compliant resin, is it suitable for food processing applications as well as general laboratory or industrial use. 489 LLDPE offers broad chemical resistance and is more flexible than other polyethylene formulations. This translucent formulation is nontoxic, odorless, and tasteless. The tubing may be sterilized by ethylene oxide. It is usable from -100 to 176 °F (-73 to 80 °C).
