Anti-DAZ2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-DAZ2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

DAZ2 is a member of the DAZ family and is a candidate for the human Y-chromosomal azoospermia factor (AZF). This RNA-binding protein is important for spermatogenesis. This gene is a member of the DAZ gene family and is a candidate for the human Y-chromosomal azoospermia factor (AZF). Its expression is restricted to premeiotic germ cells, particularly in spermatogonia. It encodes an RNA-binding protein that is important for spermatogenesis. Four copies of this gene are found on chromosome Y within palindromic duplications; one pair of genes is part of the P2 palindrome and the second pair is part of the P1 palindrome. Each gene contains a 2.4 kb repeat including a 72-bp exon, called the DAZ repeat; the number of DAZ repeats is variable and there are several variations in the sequence of the DAZ repeat. Each copy of the gene also contains a 10.8 kb region that may be amplified; this region includes five exons that encode an RNA recognition motif (RRM) domain. This gene contains one copy of the 10.8 kb repeat. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.

Anti-ACRV1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-ACRV1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

ACRV1 is a testis-specific, differentiation antigen, acrosomal vesicle protein 1, that arises within the acrosomal vesicle during spermatogenesis, and is associated with the acrosomal membranes and matrix of mature sperm. The acrosomal vesicle protein 1 may be involved in sperm-zona binding or penetration, and it is a potential contraceptive vaccine immunogen for humans. This gene encodes a testis-specific, differentiation antigen, acrosomal vesicle protein 1, that arises within the acrosomal vesicle during spermatogenesis, and is associated with the acrosomal membranes and matrix of mature sperm. This gene consists of 4 exons and its alternative splicing generates multiple distinct transcripts, which encode protein isoforms ranging from 81 to 265 amino acids. The longest transcript is the most abundant, comprising 53-72% of the total acrosomal vesicle protein 1 messages; the second largest transcript comprises 15-32%; the third and the fourth largest transcripts account for 3.4-8.3% and 8.7-12.5%, respectively; and the remaining transcripts combined account for < 1% of the total acrosomal vesicle protein 1 message. It is suggested that phenomena of cryptic splicing and exon skipping occur within this gene. The acrosomal vesicle protein 1 may be involved in sperm-zona binding or penetration, and it is a potential contraceptive vaccine immunogen for humans.

Anti-L1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: CamVir-1]

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Reacts with a protein of 57 kDa, identified as the L1 protein of human papilloma virus type 16 (HPV-16). Forms an icosahedral capsid with a T=7 symmetry and a 50 nm diameter. The capsid is composed of 72 pentamers linked to each other by disulfide bonds and associated with L2 proteins. Binds to heparan sulfate proteoglycans on the basement membrane to provide initial virion attachment to target cells. Basement membrane is exposed only after epithelium trauma. Additionally, the alpha6 integrin complexed with either beta1 or beta4 integrin has been proposed to act as a coreceptor recognized by L1. Once attached, integrin complexed with beta4 integrin has been proposed to act as a coreceptor recognized by L1. Once attached, the virion enters the host cell via clathrin-mediated endocytosis and the genomic DNA is released to the host nucleus. The virion assembly takes place within the cell nucleus. Encapsulates the genomic DNA together with protein L2. [UniProt]

The antibody reacts very strongly with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues containing HPV-16 or -33; very weak reactions were occasionally observed with biopsy specimens or smears containing HPV-6 or HPV-11. It cross-reacts with HPV37.

Lupeol ≥98%, crystals

Supplier: Cayman Chemical

Lupeol, a dietary triterpene found in certain fruits, vegetables, and medicinal plants, has potent anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic, antimutagenic, and antimalarial activity. It suppresses the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines SMMC7721 and HepG2 with IC50 values of 45 and 48.5 μM and melanoma cell lines Mel 928 and Mel 1241 with IC50 values of 75 and 72 μM.¹'² At 0.76 g/kg lupeol causes a significant decrease in the blood pressure of stroke-prone hypertensive rats and reduces expression of hepatic genes involved in triglyceride and cholesterol synthesis.³ It also has significant anti-inflammatory effects at 50 mg/kg in a carrageenan-induced edema model, inhibiting neutrophil migration.⁴
