Eukaryotic Translation Initiation Factor 4E-Binding Protein 1 (4EBP1) is a number of the eIF4E-binding protein family. 4EBP1 regulates eIF4E activity by preventing its assembly into the eIF4F complex. 4EBP1 mediates the regulation of protein translation by hormones, growth factors and other stimuli that signal through the MAP kinase and mTORC1 pathways. Non-phosphorylated 4EBP1 competes with EIF4G1/EIF4G3 to interact with EIF4E. 4EBP1 is phosphorylated in response to various signals including insulin signaling, resulting in its dissociation from eIF4E and activation of mRNA translation. 4EBP1 has a role in progression of breast neoplasms through cell signaling.

TACC1 is one of three TACC family members, which are thought to be involved in breast tumorigenesis. TACC1 is located on 8p11 chromosomal region that is amplified in approximately 15% of all breast tumor samples. The short arm of chromosome 8 also contains FGFR1 whose expression is enhanced in most breast cancer tumors. PPAPDC3 Antibody: PPAPDC3, also known as nuclear envelope transmembrane protein 39 (NET39), was initially discovered in an in silico screen for secreted or membrane proteins. It is a member of the PAP2 superfamily of phosphatases and haloperoxidases. PPAPDC3 has recently been shown to act as a negative regulator of myoblast differentiation by diminishing the activity of the mammalian target of rapamycin TOR. PPAPDC3 is highly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and becomes strongly upregulated during cultured myoblast differentiation tissues. Overexpression of PPAPDC3 in myoblasts repressed myogenesis while knockdown by RNA interference promoted differentiation indicating its part in the regulatory mechanism for myogenesis.
