Test strips, formaldehyde, QUANTOFIX®

QUANTOFIX® test strips meet all requirements of a modern rapid test. The colour of the reactive pad changes depending on the concentration of an analyte in the sample. The evaluation is usually carried out visually by comparison of the reaction colour with a multi-stage colour scale. QUANTOFIX® test strips are immediately ready-to-use. They do not require additional accessories. The test strips are intended for single use, maintenance or calibration are not required.

These test strips allow the quick and easy determination of formaldehyde. They come with all necessary reagents so that the measurement can immediately be started. Within 1 minute one gets a reliable result.

Formaldehyde is used for a large variety of products, ranging from shampoo to clothes. In large quantities it is used as raw material in the chemical industry. Formaldehyde is poisonous and can cause allergic reactions as well as irritations of skin, eyes and airways. If such reactions are observed after contact with suspicious substances it may be useful to control the Formaldehyde concentration. In closed cooling or heating circuits Formaldehyde is used as biocide. Here, QUANTOFIX® Formaldehyde serves to easily monitor the system.
