Desthiobiotinylation and pull-down kit, EZ-Link™

EZ-Link™ Desthiobiotinylation and Pull-down Kit is a complete set of reagents to biotin-label purified proteins and use them to purify interaction complexes using streptavidin agarose resin with mild elution conditions.

EZ-Link™ Desthiobiotinylation and Pull-down Kit uses Sulpho-NHSLC-Desthiobiotin reagents to label target proteins on primary amines, desalting columns to clean up the labeling reaction, and immobilized high capacity streptavidin resin and buffers to perform pull-down assays. Pull-down assays use the tagged or labelled bait protein coupled to resin to capture a prey protein contained in a cell lysate or other unpurified protein mixtures. This technique can identify novel interactions between a known protein (bait) and previously undiscovered target (prey) or it can confirm the interaction between a known (bait) and a known target (prey) protein.

EZ-Link™ Hydrazide-PEG4-Desthiobiotin, Amine-PEG4-Desthiobiotin, Phosphine-PEG4-Desthiobiotin and Sulpho-NHS-LC-Desthiobiotin reagents are available packaged in a convenient No-Weigh™ format in screw-cap vials, eliminating difficulties associated with weighing small quantities of reagent and enabling resealing of the vial, which reduces the risk of hydrolysis.
