Test per antibiotici

I test antibiotici vengono utilizzati per determinare il tipo di agente causale di malattie infettive e per verificarne la sensibilità agli antibiotici o agli agenti chemioterapici in vitro. I modelli su disco di carta vengono utilizzati per i test di sensibilità antimicrobica e sono compatibili con diversi dispenser a disco. I modelli liquidi vengono forniti in fiale contenenti agglutinine specifiche. Con alcuni prodotti sono disponibili antisieri di riferimento per l'uso nelle procedure di test di inibizione dell'emoagglutinazione virale.

La sospensione di spore del Geobacillus stearothermophilus è utilizzata in associazione con il relativo terreno (codice prodotto 1.10662.0500) per il test di rivelazione di residui degli antibiotici-sulfamidici secondo KUNDRAT. Il test rileva la presenza di residui antimicrobici quali: antibiotici sulfamidici e altri chemioterapici nella carne e altri prodotti alimentari di origine animale. Si tratta di una procedura qualitativa di routine. Il test si basa sulla diffusione delle spore di Geobacillus stearothermophilus (utilizzate come organismi test) nell'agar. I residui di antibiotico e sulfamidici inibiscono la crescita dell'organismo test. Il test non è influenzato dalla presenza di detergenti, disinfettanti e conservanti.
