Homogenisers
A homogenizer is used for the proper mixing of non-soluble liquids to have the same throughout. Commonly used for sample preparation, the laboratory equipment pieces allow nucleic acids, proteins, cells, metabolism, pathogens, and other target analyses to be accurate. Although different methods may be used, the modern devices guarantee that the material consistency is uniform. Fast-acting homogenizers have sophisticated microprocessors to tailor cell disrupting operations to each specific sample being handled.
Homogeniser, bench top, Fastprep-24 5G™, MP Biomedicals
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
FastPrep®-24 5G is a high speed bench top homogeniser offering the ultimate in speed and performance for the lysis of biological samples. It uses a unique, optimised motion to disrupt cells through the multi-directional, simultaneous beating of specialised Lysing Matrix beads on the sample material. Developed for difficult and resistant samples, the FastPrep®-24 5G instrument lyses thoroughly and quickly any tissues and cells and allows easy and reproducible isolation of stable RNA, active proteins and full-length genomic DNA.
