The rPSL1a is an Escherichia coli recombinant of carbohydrate-binding protein (Lectin) derived from Polyporus squamosus. This lectin preferably binds to a [Siaα(2-6)Gal] glycan epitope (It very slightly interacts with lactose.).
The LecBeads is a lectin-immobilized agarose which is capable of capturing glycoproteins via binding to its specific epitope(s), and it is prepared by a covalent coupling method between lectin and agarose.
The Lectin-catch method using LecBeads (as shown in Application tab) is available for selective separation of glycoconjugates (glycoproteins, glycolipids, and so on). This rPSL1a-LecBeads (1 ml gel) shows a binding capacity of about 10 mg or more human Transferrin [hTF] through its binding to a terminal [Siaα(2-6)Gal] glycan epitope on hTF.

Protein A is a type I membrane protein produced by several strains of Staphylococcus aureus. It has high-affinity binding sites that enable the purification of IgG obtained from various species such as humans, rabbit, mouse, and bovine. Protein A Agarose is prepared using a covalent coupling method that maintains the stability and binding characteristics of the product.
By using our resin, human IgGs can be eluted under milder conditions (such as at pH 4.0) as compared to elution by conventional methods.

Streptavidin Resin is designed for the single step small and large scale affinity purification of proteins and antibodies with a biotin tag. Biotin, a 244 Da vitamin (Vitamin H) molecule, exhibits an extraordinary binding affinity for avidin (Ka=10¹⁵ M⁻¹) and streptavidin (Ka=10¹⁵ M⁻¹). Biotin and (strept)avidin interaction is rapid and once the bond is established it can survive up to 3M guanidinehydrochloride and extremes of pH. Biotin-avidin bonds can only be reversed by denaturing the avidin protein molecule with 8M guanidine-hydrochloride at pH 1,5 or by autoclaving. The biotinylated molecules are efficiently probed with avidin or streptavidin conjugated to reporter molecules, such as peroxidases or phosphatases.
