Paramat Extra is a finely filtered blend of specially selected high purity paraffin wax with an addition of polymer to give improved embedding, tissue support and reliable sectioning. It contains a small amount (<1%) of DMSO which promotes improved tissue penetration with a more homogeneous matrix, especially useful for larger specimens. Residual moisture in the tissue and traces of intermedium are dispelled. The pastille shape makes for easy handling.
